Aamir Jamal slams Brad Hogg for mocking Mohammad Rizwan

Test cricketer Aamir Jamal has criticized former Australian spinner Brad Hogg for mocking Pakistan’s ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan regarding his English skills.

Recently, Brad Hogg ignited controversy with a viral social media clip. In the video, he is seen laughing as a content creator impersonates Mohammad Rizwan, mimicking his way of speaking and command of English.

The video showcases Hogg interviewing the impersonator, who humorously compares himself to Virat Kohli.

When asked about the Indian cricketer, the impersonator said, “I and Virat are alike. He drinks water, I drink water. He eats food, I eat food. We’re very similar; there’s no difference.”

He also mentioned Mohammad Rizwan’s well-known phrase, “Ya to win hai ya learn hai,” while discussing Pakistan’s game plan.

Aamir Jamal condemned Hogg’s actions as “shameful,” emphasizing that English is actually Rizwan’s third language.

“I just came across a video circulating on Twitter and other platforms, and it’s quite shameful that @Brad_Hogg, who calls himself an international cricketer, is mocking @iMRizwanPak for his English, which is actually his third language, not even his second.”

Aamir Jamal suggested that Hogg’s behavior was a misguided attempt to draw attention and gain followers, even hinting that he should consider becoming a TikToker.

“I’d suggest you try TikTok since you seem to be seeking followers and attention by making fun of others; that platform might be more suited for you than the cricket community,” he said.
