Ampere Reo 80 launched, check out what you get for Rs 59,900
Greaves Electric Mobility’s two-wheeler brand Ampere has launched the new Reo 80 electric scooter, priced at Rs 59,900 (ex-showroom). The Reo 80 does not require registration or licence as it is a low-speed model designed for speeds under 25kmph.
Bookings are now open for the Reo 80, while customer deliveries will start later this month.
The Reo 80 uses a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a claimed range of up to 80km on a single charge. The low-speed electric scooter comes with a coloured LCD instrument cluster. It also offers keyless start features.
Despite being a low-speed model, Ampere has offered a front disc brake on the Reo 80, enhancing its safety quotient. It also has alloy wheels.
The Reo 80 is available in Black, Red, Blue and White colours with a dual-tone shade.
“With the launch of the all-new Ampere Reo 80, we are making electric mobility even more accessible and inclusive for our customers in India. This ensures that every rider, regardless of their budget or need, has a safe, reliable, and smart electric mobility option from Ampere,” said K Vijaya Kumar, Executive Director and CEO, Greaves Electric Mobility.
As per the government’s VAHAN data, Greaves Electric Mobility recorded a 52% month-on-month growth in March 2025, selling over 6,000 units of electric two-wheelers.
Apart from the Reo 80, Ampere sells electric models like Nexus, Magnus, Primus and Zeal.
