British tourist chased by monkeys video – British tourist records scary video as monkeys chase him out of Thai hotel pool
A British tourist somehow managed to document the “scariest moment” of his life after a group of monkeys surrounded him while he was swimming in a hotel’s pool in Thailand.
On TikTok as well as Instagram, Kane Smith shared a video of the harrowing incident that shows him enjoying a swim in the pool before noticing a monkey on the opposite side. Moments later, more monkeys appear, slowly walking towards him before chasing him out of the pool.
Terrified, Smith exits the pool and runs to safety.
Describing the experience in the caption of his post, Smith said, “Honestly the scariest moment of my life. I apologise for all the swearing. Kinda thought my life was about to end. Started off with one monkey and then a full gang suddenly appeared.”

According to People, Smith shared an update in a subsequent video on TikTok, saying: “I’m here, I’m alive. I survived the monkeys.”
In a separate video, Smith described what he did after exiting the pool: “I literally jumped into the first room. Luckily, it was open, and no one was in there. I don’t know if it was like a conference room, but I jumped into the first room possible.”
