The CDC said a person in Louisiana has become the first to be hospitalized with a severe case of bird flu. The CDC said the patient got bird flu from a backyard flock of birds, but said the risk to the public is low. California declared a state of emergency because of the spread of bird flu in animals. NBC News’ Anne Thompson reports.
