DC vs RR, IPL 2025: Sanju Samson walks off retired hurt in major injury scare for Rajasthan Royals
Sanju Sasmon walked off retired hurt when Rajasthan Royals (RR) faced Delhi Capitals in Match No.32 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Wednesday, April 16 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. In the last over of the powerplay during the Royals’ run-chase, Samson looked in a bit of discomfort, after which the physiotherapist treated him.

On the third ball of the over, Samson tried to slash Vipraj Nigam, but missed the ball altogether. Thereafter, replays showed that the RR captain grimaced in pain. The physio checked Samson’s left side around his rib. Samson took a tablet during a lengthy break of play.
He resumed batting, but only after one more ball, he decided to go away. Samson tried to hit Vipraj and looked in pain, following which he decided not to continue. The RR skipper scored 31 runs off 19 balls with two fours and three sixes. Riyan Parag came out to bat in his place.
