An IndiGo passenger received the surprise of a lifetime from her fiance on a flight in a heartwarming video that has gone viral on social media.
The unforgettable moment was shared on the Instagram account of Srishti & Avantika, where the video documented the emotional reaction of the passenger, Avantika, to an in-flight announcement made on behalf of her fiance, Divyamm.
Although Divyamm was not present on the flight, he had managed to orchestrate the perfect surprise for his bride-to-be on the IndiGo flight. Avantika, who fell sick just days before her wedding, was taking a short nap during the journey to their wedding when she was suddenly greeted by a special announcement made by an IndiGo air hostess on behalf of Divyamm.
“Special message from your soon-to-be husband, Divyamm, who is on her way to becoming Mrs Batra. Avantika, I am so excited for the life that we are about to start together, and I can’t wait to call you my wife. Wishing you both love and happiness for the upcoming adventure from IndiGo,” the crew announced on the intercom.
The video’s caption also provided insight into her experience: “Received the best surprise from my soon-to-be husband on our way to our wedding. I am so annoyed to be woken up because I have fallen sick just two days before our wedding and am on heavy antibiotics. And then, I hear this announcement. That’s my sister recording my reaction, by the way. It’s the sweetest surprise and the perfect way to start the journey to our big day.”
Visibly emotional and embarrassed, Avantika’s reaction was both endearing and relatable. “The best surprise and the best start to the wedding,” she said in the caption of her post. “Yes, I look super embarrassed because I wasn’t expecting it at all and I was sick, tired, and sleepy, but it brought a smile on my face. Can’t wait to marry you, Divyamm Batra.”
