Isro PSLV-XL Proba-3 mission launch LIVE: Sriharikota preps for lift off

ISRO is set to launch the European Space Agency’s Proba-3 mission on December 4, 2024, at 4:08 PM IST from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. Proba-3 features two spacecraft—the Coronagraph Spacecraft (CSC) and the Occulter Spacecraft (OSC)—launched together in a stacked configuration. Once in orbit, the satellites will separate and maintain a precise 150-meter formation to create an artificial solar eclipse. This innovative design will enable the CSC to capture detailed images of the Sun’s corona, providing critical insights into solar dynamics and space weather.
