Jaipur suicide case: Man, woman found dead in warehouse, police launch investigation
Panic struck locals after the bodies of a young man and woman were found hanging inside a ruined structure in Jaipur on Saturday, police said.
As per the initial probe, it looks like a case of double suicide, but nothing could be confirmed at that stage, they said. The bodies were found hanging from the sealing of a tin shed at a warehouse from a drape.
The bodies were found in the ruins of an old warehouse of the local electricity department, which was abandoned for years. The bodies were first spotted by a garbage collector who was searching for some scrap items there.
The man immediately informed the police, who reached the spot and took both the bodies into their custody. Police also found a bag near the bodies, which contained a railway ticket. The cops found that the duo had travelled to Jaipur from Ajmer on March 13.
The young man and the woman are believed to be in the age group of 25 to 30 years, police said.
The police are also taking help from the Forensic Science Lab (FSL) team to collect the evidence and ascertain the identity of the victims. Police said on the basis of a preliminary investigation that the woman was married.
Both the bodies have been sent to the Sawai Man Singh hospital for post-mortem. The exact cause of their death will be confirmed only after the autopsy is conducted, the police added.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
