Liam Payne death case: Five charged over tragic accident

Former One Direction member Liam Payne died after a tragic fall from the third floor of his hotel room in Argentina. Argentine authorities have charged five individuals in relation to the death of Payne. The charges include negligent homicide, manslaughter, and drug offences, according to local media reports cited by TMZ.

Among those charged is Payne’s friend, Roger Nores, who admitted to leaving the singer at the CasaSur Palermo hotel about an hour before Payne’s fatal fall. Nores faces charges of negligent homicide and has been restricted from leaving the country. It remains unclear if he has been taken into custody, as per reports.

Two other individuals, Braian Paiz, a waiter, and Ezequiel Pereyra, an employee of the CasaSur hotel, have been charged with supplying narcotics to Payne. Investigators allege that both provided cocaine to the singer, which he consumed in the hours leading up to his death.

Additionally, hotel managers Gilda Martin and Esteban Grassi face manslaughter charges. Prosecutors accuse them of failing to prevent conditions that led to the fatal incident. The 30-year-old singer fell from a balcony at the CasaSur Palermo hotel after reportedly consuming whiskey and cocaine throughout the day.

Payne’s tragic death left the music industry and his global fanbase in shock. According to TMZ, a judge had previously approved prosecutors’ request to charge Nores with abandonment, indicating the possibility of further legal action. The five charged individuals have been summoned to court as the investigation continues.
