Lokayukta conducts early morning raids on officials in six Karnataka districts – Karnataka News
The Lokayukta officials in Karnataka launched early morning raids on Thursday across six districts, targeting residences and offices of several government officials. The raids were conducted in Tumakuru, Mangaluru, Vijayapura, Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural and Yadgir.
Among the officials under scrutiny are the Director of Nirmiti Kendra in Tumakuru, Survey Supervisor in Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada, and Renuka Satarale from the Dr BR Ambedkar Development Corporation in Vijayapura. These individuals were among those whose residences and offices were raided as part of the statewide Lokayukta operation.
Also on the list are Additional Director of the Directorate of Urban and Rural Planning in Bengaluru Urban Murali TV; an Inspector with the Legal Metrology Department in Bengaluru HR Nataraj; Second Division Assistant at the Hoskote Taluk Office in Bengaluru Rural Ananth Kumar, and Umakanth from Shahapur Taluk in Yadgir district.
According to sources, the Lokayukta conducted inspections at 12 locations in Bengaluru, seven in Tumakuru, eight in Bengaluru Rural, five in Yadgir, and four each in Mangaluru and Vijayapura.
Last week, in similar early morning raids, the Karnataka Lokayukta police searched multiple locations linked to four government officials, as part of investigations into disproportionate assets cases against them. The raids led to the seizure of unaccounted cash, valuables and several incriminating documents from residences and offices associated with the officials, said sources within Lokayukta.
