Neelamben Parikh, Mahatma Gandhi’s great-granddaughter, dies at age 93
Neelamben Parikh, the great-granddaughter of Mahatma Gandhi, breathed her last on Tuesday in Navsari at the age of 93. She was the granddaughter of Haridas Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi’s son. Neelamben had been residing in Navsari district with her son, Dr Sameer Parikh.
Her funeral procession is scheduled today for 8:00 AM from her residence. The cremation will take place at Veerwal crematorium.
Neelamben believed in Gandhian ideology, dedicated her life to Vyara (truth) and made contributions to women’s welfare and human welfare throughout her lifetime.
