Oscar Awards 2025 Live update: Stars dazzle on the red carpet

The 97th Academy Awards is taking place today, on March 3 (IST) in Los Angeles. The event is being hosted by former late night show host, Conan O’Brien, for the first time. The critically acclaimed Emilia Perez has received 13 nominations, while Ariana Grande-starrer Wicked has 10 nods in multiple categories.

Following them close behind are the films, The Brutalist and Wicked, that have earned 10 nods each. Meanwhile, A Complete Unknown and Conclave have bagged eight nominations each.

As far as the acting department goes, Timothee Chalamet (A Complete Unknown), Adrien Brody (The Brutalist), Ariana Grande (Wicked), Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong (The Apprentice), Kieran Culkin (A Real Pain), Demi Moore (The Substance) have bagged nominations as well in Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor category. The event will also be addressing the aftermath of the LA wildfires, emphasizing community and spirit, with opportunities for charitable donations.

As per reports, the Academy will also be paying a tribute to the Bond legacy.
