Piyush Goyal remark on Indian startups draws flak from Zepto CEO Mohandas Pai
Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal’s sharp critique of India’s startup ecosystem, while comparing with that of China’s, has drawn flak from industry leaders like Zepto CEO Aadit Palicha and former Infosys executive Mohandas Pai. In a post on X, the Zepto CEO said the government should back the creation of “local champions” and not pull down the teams trying to bring “technology revolutions”.
