Raid 2 worldwide box office collection day 19 detailed report: Ajay Devgn film hits Rs 200 crore globally, 2nd in club after Chhaava

Ajay Devgn’s ‘Raid 2’ has grossed Rs 200 crore globally. The film has been successfully running in theatres, and went on to surpass the benchmark after 18 days. As reported by the trade website Sacnilk, it is only the second Bollywood film after ‘Chhaava’ to have achieved the feat this year.

The Rajkumar Gupta-directorial has grossed around Rs 201.50 crore worldwide, which includes Rs 177.50 crore gross from India alone. The film saw a little dent in its smooth run due to the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, and the release of ‘Mission: Impossible-The Final Reckoning’ last week.

The film’s nett collection in India stands at Rs 151.50 crore after 19 days. It has already been declared a clean hit at the domestic ticket window, and whatever it earns from here is only some extra growth.

  • Week 1: Rs 95.75 crore
  • Week 2: Rs 40.6 crore
  • Friday: Rs 3 crore
  • Saturday: Rs 4.25 crore
  • Sunday: Rs 5.65 crore
  • Monday: Rs 2.25 crore
  • Total: Rs 151.50 crore

‘Raid 2’ has, however, been running better than expected in theatres. This is also Devgn’s eighth film in the Rs 200 crore club, and his first after ‘Singham Again’, which was a big Diwali release in November last year.

What else? ‘Raid 2’ has also surpassed the lifetime worldwide run of its predecessor. ‘Raid’, which was released in 2018, grossed around Rs 154 globally. It is also the sixth Indian film this year to have entered the coveted club. A good sign for the Hindi film industry, indeed!

The film also features Riteish Deshmukh, Vani Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla, among others, in important roles.
