Shanaya Kapoor Ankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan to be monsoon entertainer, release date out
Shanaya Kapoor is finally making her Bollywood debut after years of delay with ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’. The film, which also features Vikrant Massey in the lead, is scheduled for release on July 11th, 2025. The makers on Wednesday shared the motion poster of the film on social media with the caption that read, “This monsoon, don’t just fall, but feel the love (sic).”
Massey, who’s a National Award-winning actor, stars alongside Kapoor, who was expected to make her debut three years back with a Dharma Productions film. The motion poster of the film suggests the film has an emotional story.
Directed by Santosh Singh and produced by Zee Studios and Mini Films, ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ features music by popular composer Vishal Mishra. While the story remains under wraps, it is riding high on its fresh lead pairing and emotional mood.
Kapoor, daughter of actors Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, earlier worked as an assistant director on ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’, which featured Janhvi Kapoor in the lead. The film’s team recently completed its shoot in Baki, Azerbaijan, while the post-production work is underway.
While announcing the film on social media, Kapoor highlighted its romantic appeal. She posted the motion poster on Instagram and wrote, “This monsoon, don’t just fall, but feel the love. #AankhonkiGustaakhiyan. In cinemas near you on 11th July 2025 (sic).”
In addition to ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’, Kapoor will also feature in the upcoming multilingual film ‘Vrushabha’, opposite Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. The film is set for release on October 16, 2025. The actor has also got ‘Tu Yaa Main’ alongside Adarsh Gourav in the pipeline.
