Tajinder Bagga calls Farah Khan ‘biggest Chhapri’ after her Holi comment

Politician Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, who also participated in Bigg Boss 18, has slammed choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan for her comments on Holi. Khan had called Holi the favourite festival of ‘chhapris’, a term used to describe wannabe boys who are generally rowdy and dress up in a flashy way. Criticising her for the comment, Bagga even called the choreographer the “biggest chhapri” in a video he shared on social media.

In the video, Bagga said in Hindi, “The statement given by Farah Khan that Holi is the festival of chhapris, I think targeting Indian culture and festivals has become the most important work of chhapris. I feel Farah ji, you are the biggest chhapri. We have been celebrating Holi for several years and centuries, and the people of India Holi and Diwali well. But, some Chhapris like you try to defame it.”

He concluded the video demanding an apology. “You should apologise to Indian people, you should apologise for saying Holi is a festival of chhapris.” Here is the video:

Farah Khan, during Masterchef India, said, “Saare chhapri ladko ka favourite festival Holi hi hota hai (Holi is the favourite festival of all chappri boys).” This drew criticism from many. Here is the video:

Khan, however, is yet to react to the controversy.

Khan and Bagga had some friction before as well, when the choreographer hosted Weekend Ka Vaar instead of Salman Khan. She had reprimanded Bagga for his comments on Karan Veer Mehra.
