Varun Dhawan recalls scary incident of a woman breaking into his home

Varun Dhawan shared an incident involving a woman, who was misled into believing that the actor would elope with her. The woman, described by Varun as the ‘wife of a very powerful man’, stalked him and even broke into his house after being catfished, prompting him to involve the police.

In a conversation with Ranveer Allahabadia aka Beerbicep on his podcast, Varun recounted how the woman entered his residence without permission. “And that lady was the wife of a very powerful man. I can’t say what position… but a very powerful man, and she was being catfished. Someone was talking to her using my name. She knew everything about my house, and she thought I was going to leave my family. It became very scary,” he said. The actor mentioned that he had to contact the police, and ‘female constables came in and handled it’.

Varun also spoke about instances where fans acted inappropriately towards him in public. He recalled an incident where a female fan forcibly kissed him, making him feel ‘a little bit violated’. He added that people have pinched him in public places before. “I feel bad for women, because I straight away put myself in their position. If this is happening to me, it must be worse with them,” Varun said.

Varun is all set for the release of Kalees’ Baby John, an adaptation of the Tamil hit Theri, produced by Atlee. The film, also starring Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi, is set to release in theatres on December 25, Christmas day. In 2025, Varun will feature in two films — Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.
