Vishal’s Madha Gaja Raja to release in theatres after 13 years
The Tamil film, Madha Gaja Raja, directed by Sundar C, is finally set to release on January 12, coinciding with the Pongal festival. The film, featuring Vishal and Santhanam, has faced delays since 2013 due to financial issues, competition with other films, and legal challenges. The trailer was initially released in 2011, with production by Vishal Film Factory and Gemini Film Circuit.
Actor Santhanam shared the release date on social media, expressing excitement about the film’s arrival. He stated, “Kings of Entertainment Vishal, Sundar C, and I, with music by Vijay Antony, are all set to make this Pongal a Laughter Festival. Gemini Film Circuit’s Madha Gaja Raja worldwide release on Jan 12.”
The film boasts a star-studded cast including Vishal, Santhanam, Anjali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sathish, Sonu Sood, the late Mayilsamy, and Manobala. Richard M Nathan handled the cinematography, while Praveen KL and NB Srikanth were responsible for editing. Vijay Antony composed the music.
Other films releasing during Pongal include Kadhalikka Neramillai starring Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menen, Shane Nigam’s Tamil debut Madraskaaran, Arun Vijay’s Vanangaan, and Nesipayya featuring Aditi Shankar and Akash Murali.
