‘You’re on your own’: JD Vance warns companies that outsource manufacturing


US Vice President JD Vance made it clear to companies unwilling to manufacture within the United States will receive no relief from the Trump administration over tariffs on foreign imports.

Defending Donald Trump’s trade policies, Vance took to X to highlight the administration’s commitment to job creation and economic investment within the country. He emphasized that businesses choosing to align with Trump’s policies would benefit from lower taxes and reduced regulations.

Vance took to X to speak upon Trump’s economic policies. The vice president declared that his administration was eager to create jobs in the US with more investments from companies. He claimed that companies who follow Trump’s policies would be rewarded with lower taxes and regulations.

He posted: “President Trump’s economic polices are simple: if you invest in and create jobs in America, you’ll be rewarded. We’ll lower regulations and reduce taxes.”

However, the Vice President warned companies reluctant to manufacture in the US, stating they would receive no tariff support from the Trump administration.

“But if you build outside of the United States, you’re on your own,” he added.

JD Vance took to X to speak upon Trump’s economic policies.

What’s the situation with US tariffs?

Since taking offline in January, Donald Trump announced his plans to impose tariffs on imports, particularly from China, Mexico, and Canada. Presently, Beijing faces 20% tariffs on its imports after a 10% hike last week.

While Mexico and Canada will face 25% tariffs on goods from April 2. Moreover, Trump has threatened “reciprocal” tariffs on goods from several other countries.

Canada has retaliated with its own tariffs on several US goods. While its province Ontario has imposed a 25% electricity hike on American consumers. China too has placed 15% tariffs on multiple US imports.
